Amir's Transformative Journey : The Beginning pt. 2

Week 2 - 18/03/2021

            Hi, its the second week. And this week, we are beginning our first step to our final goal, creating an executive members to organize our plan better. There are director, executive director, secretary, treasurer and 3 committee members to handle social media and multimedia to be chosen. I am not in the level yet to volunteer myself to be an executive. Moreover handling this project online. Hats off to the executives.

        Then, after the executives are set, we are required to brainstorming ideas for the activities we want to do. Dr. Azah creates a whiteboard platform on Microsoft Teams so we can write our ideas on the whiteboard. The idea written on the whiteboard are anonymous, so we can write anything we can think off without caring too much. It promotes more participation among the students. So, after the brainstorming, the executives will be having more discussion to narrow it down. Then, discussing again with the rest of class next week. So, that's that and that's it for the second week! 👋

Week 3 - 25/03/2021

        It's the third week and there were some new things happened during the class. First thing first, our project have been given a name and it is "Bits With Teens". Teen is appropriate here as we are going to teach secondary high school students for our project. Next, we were choosing our logo to be used for our project and for our media pages. Amrin and his media team has come up with 2 logos and asked our opinions and votes for it. And below is the logo we have chosen:

        Other than that, we are briefed about the modules we are going to do. During the class, we tried to discuss about the modules and how to make it better. The modules are:

• Embedding the flow 
• teaching them about algorithms and pseudocode and its importance for programming
• Code Breaker
• introducing them concepts of encoding and decoding
• Dig-It
• introducing them about the use of number systems in computer such as binary, octal and hexadecimal
• Codakid
• Teaching them about basics of programming syntax through simple problem solving tasks.

        I hope they are going to find our modules interesting and not to heavy to learn. And fun to experience. So, that's that and that's it for the third week! 👋
