The Webinar (17 April 2021)
Today is the day for our first launch of our programme and we start it off with a Webinar session! Learn Computer Science Without Computer is our main theme of the project. For the webinar, we invited 2 panelists to give a talk. Panelist 1 is Dr. Mas Sahidayana Mokhtar, a senior lecturer in University of Malaya and Panelist 2 is our own lecturer, Dr. Azah Anir Norman to give a speech herself to the newly registered participants which consists of secondary students and some primary students.
Even though there are many students registered, it was actually not as much as we expected. But, we took what we can get for the time being. Because the platform of we are using is Microsoft Teams, there were some technical difficulties faced by the participants as not all of them have Microsoft accounts. Still we managed to get into our breakout sessions. According to the plan, each mentor should have atleast 3 mentees, but due to reasons like not enough participants, for the first breakout sessions for my team, called TechDudes, we only have 2 mentees. Despite that, we went over the breakout sessions with our mentees as planned and get to know each other before moving on the upcoming modules on the upcoming week. Hope there are more participants joining soon!

Module 1 - Embedding The Flow (24 April 2021)
Today is the day for our first module - Embedding the Flow. The module covers the topic of flowchart and the flow of programming process which is suitable for first lessons. Due to technical difficulties faced in Teams, for upcoming modules onward we will be using Google Meet to handle our programme and breakout sessions. The tentative started with introduction in the main room where the executives and person in charge of the module giving heads up of what will the mentees be learning today. And then participants will be joining respective group for breakout session.
For the first module, we had more participants than before which is good. Although there are students who are registered but unable to join and one of them was my own mentee which felt bad honestly. But nevertheless, we taught them per the module and it was fun teaching them. At the end of every module, participants will be asked to join back the main room to answer quiz regarding the day's module and those who get top 3 each module will be given a prize! I hope one of our team's mentees manage to snatch some prizes.

Module 2 - Code Breaker (1 May 2021)
In module 2 - Code Breaker, we were teaching them about basics of encoding and decoding. Today's topic was interesting and I hope the participants felt the same too. I forgot to tell that because of our team consists of 4 mentors, we decided to assign each mentors to lead each modules. Module 1 was conducted by Filzah and Module 2 was conducted by Imran. But, they only handles for the main part of the module which was teaching part. For others mentors, we will handle during the practice questions to test the mentees understanding on current topic.
Our mentees were awfully quiet and probably shy to ask any questions during the session. But they responded to us if we asked them questions. Their responses are already good enough for us to know that they were following what we were teaching.

Module 3 - Dig IT (8 May 2021)
We already at the third module! Today's module, Dig It will covers topic about number systems; binary, octal and hexadecimal. And the one who conducts today's teaching was mentor Farhah and mine will be on the final module! Today we only have 3 mentors as mentor Filzah was joining a programming event. But its fine because there are not a lot of mentees to begin with. As usual, we go through the same tentatives of introduction -> breakout -> quiz. Oh, and our programme have been going on well up until now because we had a dry run the day before of each modules. The dry run gave us a bit of heads up on what will we be teaching tomorrow and also some updates if there is any.
For today's practice session, I may have been taking too much time explaining the questions and we were caught in time for quiz sessions. Luckily other teams also late and the quiz is extended for few minutes more and we managed to wrap up the module in time. P/s: we were unable to record today's session because recording button suddenly disappear and we have no full recording that day 😓. But we have pictures though :D.

Module 4 - CodaKid (22 May 2021)
The final module has came and its my turn to conduct the module. Today, in CodaKid we were teaching about programming languages! To be honest, i felt like today's topic a bit hard with little time we had but we gave our best teaching them. Basics things like data types, if else, loops were covered in the module. I taught them by using online compiler available called programiz. It helps them visualize what was I am babbling for 30 minutes more easily. They still can answered the practice questions given so I took it as they understood what I were teaching. This time I managed to be on time with my deliveries which I have struggled with my whole life of presenting in time.

Closing Ceremony (29 May 2021)
It is the last day of our long run event. In closing ceremony, there were some speech from the organizer and then we were joining our respective breakout room for the last time. In the breakout room, we were not teaching anything but only having some talks with our mentees. Asking for feedbacks and what they felt during our event. It was wholesome moment to be remembered. Although not all mentees were able to join, we appreciated to those mentess that have been together with us from day 1. Really thank you for participating! And as a final act, all participants were joining the main room back for winner announcement. And one of our mentees, Hasif which have been presence since the first day managed to get top 3 in module 3. Feeling a bit proud of him. Then we ended with good old together snapshot. And, that's it. That's the end of our long running event. Thanks to the executives that provides all the planning and resources for us and also the the participants.💕💕
